Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Ralph Corporation (“Ralph,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Ralph rider app, visit ralphdelivery.com, or otherwise interact with our services (together, the “Services”).
Ralph operates a courier service in New York City. Riders who deliver through Ralph are independent contractors. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Identity & contact information — name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
- Rider application & account information — details you submit to apply or maintain a rider account, such as the delivery apps you currently ride for or prefer, areas you deliver in, availability, and work-eligibility information.
- Documents and photos — any documents or images you choose to upload (for example, to verify your identity or eligibility to work).
- Payment details — information needed to pay you, processed through our payment provider (see Section 3). We do not store full bank account or card numbers on our own systems.
- Communications — messages you send to our support team and related correspondence.
- Website signups — information you submit through forms on ralphdelivery.com (for riders or restaurants), such as your name, email, phone, and the questions answered in the form.
Information collected automatically
- Location information — see Section 4 below.
- Device & usage data — device type, operating system, app version, language, and basic log/usage data used to operate and improve the Services and to keep them secure.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage rider accounts.
- To verify identity and eligibility to provide delivery services.
- To dispatch, route, and complete deliveries.
- To pay riders and meet related tax, recordkeeping, and minimum-pay obligations (including New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection requirements).
- To provide customer and rider support.
- To maintain safety, prevent fraud, and secure the Services.
- To communicate with you about your account, deliveries, and updates.
- To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and tax obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Services, with service providers acting on our behalf, including:
- Payments — Stripe, including Stripe Connect, to process rider payouts.
- Maps & geocoding — mapping and address-lookup providers such as Apple Maps, Google Maps, and/or OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) to power dispatch and navigation.
- Hosting & infrastructure — cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (including Vercel for our website) that store and serve data on our behalf.
- Productivity & storage — Google Workspace (for example, to store and manage signup and contact information).
- Communications — email and messaging providers (including Twilio for text messages) used to send you account, delivery, and support messages. See Section 5 for how we handle SMS and phone numbers.
- Background checks (if and when used) — if we choose to conduct background screening, we may share information with a consumer reporting agency (such as Checkr or Sterling). We do not currently run background checks, and we would provide any separate disclosures and obtain any authorizations required by law before doing so.
We may also share information when required to comply with the law, to enforce our agreements, to protect the rights, safety, and property of Ralph, our riders, restaurants, or others, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
4. Location Information
With your permission, the Ralph app collects precise (GPS) location from your device. We use location to assign and route deliveries, provide navigation, show delivery progress, and support safety and dispatch. Location may be collected while you are using the app, including while the app runs in the background when you are online or on an active delivery.
You can control location access at any time through your device settings. Turning off location may limit or prevent your ability to receive and complete deliveries.
5. SMS / Text Messaging
We collect mobile phone numbers when you provide them — for example, when you sign up on ralphdelivery.com, apply to ride, or create a rider account. With your consent, we use your phone number to send you text (SMS) messages related to the Services, such as account and phone-number verification codes, delivery dispatch and status updates, account notifications, and support messages.
- We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages you have consented to receive.
- Message frequency varies depending on your account activity and delivery volume.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time, and reply HELP for assistance. You can also reach us at riders@ralphdelivery.com. Opting out of SMS may limit or prevent your ability to receive and complete deliveries, since dispatch and verification messages are sent by text.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. We may retain certain information for longer where required for legal, tax, accounting, safety, or dispute-resolution purposes, after which we delete or de-identify it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices & Rights
You may review and update certain account information, opt out of non-essential communications, and control device permissions such as location. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11.
9. Account & Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing riders@ralphdelivery.com from the email address on your account. We will delete your information except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it (for example, payment, tax, and legal-compliance records). See Delete your account for details.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
